This policy explains what Ghoonghat does with personal information when you use the public site, create an account, or plan a wedding in the product. It applies to couples, family members they invite, and vendors who write to us or list a business. Questions can go to hello@ghoonghat.com.
When you start planning or sign in, we collect the details you submit: your email address, name, password if you set one, and the couple names, city, and date you choose to share. If you write to us, we keep that message and your email address so we can reply. Vendors who ask to be listed give us the business details in that form.
The planning workspace holds what you and the people you invite put there: events, guest lists, family details, budgets, vendor notes, payment records you enter yourselves, photos, and messages inside the product. That information is there so your wedding party can plan together. We do not use guest lists to advertise to your guests.
We use this information to run your account, keep you signed in, send sign-in and password emails, show the wedding you are working on, and operate the features you use. We also use it to answer you, keep the service reliable, and look into misuse. We do not sell personal information.
A small number of providers process data on our behalf so the product can work. Email is sent through our email provider. Photographs you upload are stored with Cloudflare Images. The database that holds account and wedding records is hosted for us. Those providers only handle the information needed for that job. People you invite to a wedding can see the planning details their role allows.
We keep account and wedding information while the account or wedding is active, and for a short period after if we need it to complete a request, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal duty. You can ask us to delete your account. Wedding information you entered can be removed from the product by the people who manage that wedding, or by writing to us.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to a particular use or ask us to limit it, where the law gives you that right. Email hello@ghoonghat.com and we will respond. You can stop using the product at any time, and you can leave a wedding you were invited to.
Ghoonghat is meant for adults planning a wedding. Guest records may include children who are attending, because families need that for seating, events, and meals. Do not create an account for a child.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date on this page. Continued use of Ghoonghat after that date means the updated policy applies.
