These terms are the agreement between you and Ghoonghat when you use the public site, create an account, or plan a wedding in the product. If you do not agree, do not use Ghoonghat. Questions can go to hello@ghoonghat.com.
Ghoonghat is a place to plan a South Asian wedding: events, guests, budgets, vendors, and the people helping you. Starting an account is free. We may add paid plans later. If we do, we will say what they cost before you are charged.
You need an account to plan. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your login. We may suspend an account that is used to harm the service or other people.
You keep ownership of the wedding information, photos, and text you add. You give us permission to host and display that material so the product can work for you and the people you invite. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.
Use Ghoonghat for planning a real celebration and for the public pages as they are offered. Do not attempt to break the service, scrape it in bulk, send spam through it, or upload anything unlawful. Do not add personal information about someone in a way you know they would not want, beyond the ordinary guest details a wedding needs.
Directory listings and cost notes are there to help you look. They are not an endorsement, a booking, or a promise about price or availability. Arrangements with a vendor are between you and that business.
Budget and payment fields are records you keep for yourselves. Ghoonghat does not take wedding payments from your guests or vendors through those fields, and entering an amount here does not move money.
Tradition pages and planning prompts are written with care. They are not religious guidance, legal advice, or a substitute for the elders, officiants, and professionals you trust. Confirm dates, rituals, and contracts with the people responsible for them.
We work to keep Ghoonghat available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We may change or remove a feature. The product is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, or decisions you make from material on the site.
You may stop using Ghoonghat at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that should survive — including ownership of what you added, and the limit on liability — still apply after the account ends.
